Standard equipment of CaddyClean has some shortcomings that affect the implementations of a series of works in which it can be used.

For example, it is problematic supplying of the cleaning solution from the tank during a washing walls, because the option of mount is not provided. Not provided supply of cleaning solution without a long handle.

Upgrading of the machine using resupply with additional equipment helps to eliminate these problems.

Furthermore, it's possible to extend the machine functionality, with a certain modernization.

This project is a redesign of a manual street sweeping system, encompassing a trolley, broom and bin, to be used by street sweeping staff in Barcelona city. The trolley itself performs two functions: On one hand, it serves to transport the sweeping tools and, on the other one, it serves to collect and transport rubbish. Eco-design methodology was employed for this redesign, including the quantification of environmental impact.
